He had it “restored” in Kansas City. They did a terrible job and gave it back unassembled. Thirty years later he brought it to us for a correct restoration. Rather than Silver/Black we are going to the original Black/Green. Should be stunning and will be for sale.
She talked us in to restoring the family 356 by sending us pictures of her cute triplet girls saying they wanted to ride in the 356. BJ called this the”Goat Car” as the goats had climbed up the back damaging the rear window seal and letting in the rain. One of the rustiest 356s we’ve done.
Purchased this project from nearby Elizabeth. Sad story involving her late husbands cancer. Engine had a huge hole in the case. Restored to original Signal Red and waiting on engine rebuild.
See number 27. Ed finally got around to finishing his project. We did the body work including replacing a metal warped door and had the 356 painted. Ed would do the reassembly
Caroline had been after us to repair a kinked hood and door damage. When we finally had time, the project turned in to a paint color change and restoration.
Mentioned earlier as Keith’s ’60 Cabriolet. Keith never did the paint or reassembly and sold it to us when he had financial issues. We painted it Silver and did red interior. Will be for sale.
A project car and a forced sell as the owner was fighting cancer. Paid a better than fair price, restored it, painted Dolphin Gray and waiting reassembly and sale.
Mentioned earlier. After fifteen years since we did the metal and body work, Jim wanted it restored. We were happy with the work and we did fifteen years ago and had the 356 painted the original Slate Gray.
Needed left front fender, bottom front clip and plenty of metal work as it had been a race car i.e. twenty extra holes in the dash! Will be painted white, reassembled and returned to owner in Wyoming.
Bought this along with the Speedster. It needed full restoration and painted Irish Green. Sold it and it went to a nice couple in Michigan who had sold their Speedster and missed having a 356.
